Tony Award-winning director Julie Taymor brings to life a story filled with hope and adventure set against an amazing backdrop of stunning visuals. Winner of 6 Tony Awards, including Best Musical and based on the beloved 1994 Disney film, The Lion King brings together one of the most imaginative creative teams on Broadway. If I could only see 3/4 of the show, i feel that i should have a 1/4 of the price of the ticket back.More than 110 million people around the world have experienced the awe-inspiring visual artistry, the unforgettable music and the uniquely theatrical storytelling of this Broadway spectacular – one of the most breathtaking and beloved productions ever to grace the stage. They offered $20 refund for each ticket which I didn't accept. I called Broadway after the show to complaint about the bad seats and the rep said they are not liable for marking the price for the seating. My friends and I weren’t able to enjoy the show at all as we were mislead by the rep to buy more expensive tickets which didn’t allow us to see the entire performance. After watching the show, certainly, the cheaper mezzanine prime tickets with higher seating and more to the center would have a fuller view of such big cast. The rep suggested to go with more expensive orchestra tickets but never mentioned about obstructed seating.
Before I purchased the ticket, I called Broadway to ask for advice as there were also mezzanine prime tickets available at the time. These are the 2nd most expensive ticket and should not have any obstructed views.
My friends and I were only able to see 3/4 of the stage as the stage was so high up and we were partially blocked by the stereos on the side of stage. I purchased the orchestra seat on row (Front) F10-F14 for $236/ ticket for the show on Feb 15, 2016.
